Revised application fees for UK work visas

The visa fees mentioned hereunder are effective for all visa applications made from 22 November 2010.

Payments

All visa application fees are quoted by the Home Office in pounds sterling, but are payable in local currency.

Your visa application centre will tell you what the local fees are and how you can pay for your visa. Receipt of fee payment will need to be submitted with your application at the appointment with the visa application centre.

Dependants

Dependants are charged the same fee as the main applicant, unless stated otherwise. If you are travelling with dependants, they must pay the fee whether or not they are included in your passport.

Refunds

The fee you paid will be refunded only if you withdraw your application in writing before it is processed and any biometrics have been taken, or if you have not provided any biometrics yet.

Refunds will not be given if long-term visit visas are granted for less than the period you applied for.

WORK VISAS - Revised Application Fees

 

TIER 1

The current application fees for Tier 1 (General), (Entrepreneur) and (Investor) are:

a) Main applicant

• £850 if you are applying by post in the UK
• £1150 if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £750 if you are applying outside the UK

b) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying at the same time as the main applicant and are included in your application form)

• £250 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £300 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £750 if you are applying outside the UK

c) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying later) or child over 18

• £500 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £800 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £750 if you are applying outside the UK

The current application fees for Tier 1 (Post-study work) are:

a) Main applicant

• £550 if you are applying by post in the UK
• £850 if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £344 if you are applying outside the UK

b) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying at the same time as the main applicant and are included in your application form)

• £150 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £250 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £344 if you are applying outside the UK

c) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying later) or child over 18

• £500 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £800 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £344 if you are applying outside the UK

TIER 2

The current application fees are:

a) Main applicant

• £500 if you are applying by post in the UK
• £800 if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £350 if you are applying outside the UK

b) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying at the same time as the main applicant and are included in your application form)

• £150 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £200 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £350 if you are applying outside the UK

c) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying later) or child over 18

• £500 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £800 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £350 if you are applying outside the UK

TIER 4 (General)

The current application fees are:

a) Main applicant

• £357 if you are applying by post in the UK
• £650 if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £220 if you are applying outside the UK

b) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying at the same time as the main applicant and are included in your application form)

• £100 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £150 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £220 if you are applying outside the UK

c) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying later) or child over 18

• £500 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £800 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £220 if you are applying outside the UK

TIER 4 (Child)

The current application fees are:

• £357 if you are applying by post in the UK
• £650 if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £220 if you are applying outside the UK

TIER 5

The current application fees are:

a) Main applicant

• £130 if you are applying by post in the UK
• £600 if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £130 if you are applying outside the UK

b) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying at the same time as the main applicant and are included in your application form)

• £30 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £150 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £130 if you are applying outside the UK

c) Partner or child aged under 18 (if they are applying later) or child over 18

• £500 each if you are applying by post in the UK
• £800 each if you are applying in person inside the UK
• £130 if you are applying outside the UK
